If you are running the App on a browser, it could appear to be like a website. However, there is a big difference which we've described here.
The word 'App' is short for 'Application Program'.
Consider that a simple Website is a like a collection of electronic pages (like a book). By comparison an App can be considered like an electronic calculator.
The Virtual Camino App takes your daily distance you have walked in your local neighbourhood to progress you along a map of the Camino in Spain. Like a calculator, the Virtual Camino App adds up each day's distance and displays the resultant information in a number of different formats to help keep you motivated to continue walking locally until you virtually reach Santiago de Compostela. Other incentives include milestone emails when you reach 100, 200 and 300 miles and an attractive completion certificate when you reach the end.
